Howell Instruments, Inc. pioneered the field of engine monitoring and testing in the aircraft industry beginning in 1951 with the development of the JETCAL® Analyzer.  This first JETCAL® Analyzer was designed to fulfill the need for testing J47 engine temperature systems on the B-36 bomber.

Howell's four-step working philosophy is:
Start with the customer's need;
Investigate the need and propose the best solution;
Design, develop, and test the product;
And continually support the product along with the customer's changing needs.

We have continued to work with our country's military and commercial corporations to remain current and ready to meet their needs. Therefore, we stay at the forefront of continually increasing flight safety and cost effective engine maintenance..

We have knowledgeable field engineers who are willing to listen and adapt our products to your latest technology.
Our engineers spend time in the field, testing and updating our instrumentation to reduce pilot error and to produce real time data that support and enhance pilot performance.

Our people are busy making our business competent to meet the challenges of today's changing world, ensuring the demands of our military are met, and keeping alive the spirit of excellence.
