| HEATER PROBES |
Howell Heater Probes dynamically test
thermocouples, thermal switches, and
continuous-wire detection systems by applying a
calibrated source of heat to the device being
tested. When connected to any of Howell BH112
Series of JETCAL® Analyzers, H239
Thermocouple and EGT System Test Sets, H394
TEMPCAL® Testers, or BH140C Thermocouple
Testers, these heater probes can test heat
sensitive detectors either in their normal
operating location or on the bench.
All of the above testers measure the
temperature of the heater probe and use this
value to control the power applied to the
heater probe in order to accurately maintain
the test temperature. In the case of a
thermocouple test, the output of the
thermocouple under test is measured and
compared to the heater probe temperature in
order to determine the accuracy of the
thermocouple being tested.
